On your very first day here, we tell you to " just show up and do what we ask, to the best of your ability" and "you will get much fitter, and fast!" Lot's of folks are a testament to that philosophy and have shown unbelievable change and accomplishment. Some folks seem to take a little longer to "buy in" to this way of thinking and change comes more slowly... Let's try a little refresher...
1. Just show up! consistently, on time and ready to go! Part time training never leads to significant improvement... NO EXCUSES!
2. Get your eating style down! Zaleo, Paleo, Zone whatever, just learn to eat in a way that controls your insulin, and fuels your body. If you forgot how or can't find a way, ask us for more help!
3. Get to bed earlier! You need more sleep!
4. Keep a logbook! refer to it frequently (use our database or your own notebook or both)
5. Set a goal! or two, or three... and tell everyone what it is!
6. Eliminate "I Can't" from your speech... it really means you "won't" and is highly self defeating.
7. IGNORE... most conventional fitness and nutrition "wisdom"... look around... the mainstream is in terrible condition and are stuck that way because they follow the herd... We're different and so are you!
8. Embrace the "tough love" we give! Shed your ego at the door and get better! It doesn't matter where you start, it just matters that you keep going...
9. Our community is strong because we are a strong community! Sounds corny but like minded folks, working toward shared goals is a proven system for HUGE accomplishment.... JUMP IN!
10. Think long term, but act for today! "The longest journey starts with the first step" The usual self talk, like... "I'll get back in shape after______" or "As soon as I (Blah, Blah, Blah) I'll start working out again" or " I would, but I need to wait 'til_______". That day NEVER comes! You must act on life or life will act on you... starting NOW!
